Deluxe Vet Bedding For Cats And Dogs
Deluxe vet bedding is another optional add-on to make your pet’s trip more pleasant. Our team can place this soft bedding inside your pet’s travel crate for their journey. (At an extra cost from $25)
The bedding has a rubber backing that makes it non-slip and safer for transportation.
Vet beds are sometimes called dry beds, for their quick-drying material.
It’s sometimes inevitable that your pets produce urine and moisture inside the travel crate.
That’s why vet bedding is perfect, as the moisture would seep through the pile and backing, leaving the bedding dry to the touch.
If you are interested in purchasing this add-on for your pet’s trip, please notify our team.
How Do I Know My Pet Will Be Safe?
50 years of experience is testimony to the care we take, with a focus on your pet’s welfare. Like you, your pet flies in a pressurised cabin with the temperature set by the captain at a comfortable 18ºC.
We strictly follow the protocols laid out by IATA in the Live Animals Regulations manual. The regulations cover key areas such as crate specifications, airport and airline restrictions, and safe travelling conditions. In addition to the Live Animal Regulations (LAR) Dogtainers call on a nationwide network of government accredited vets to ensure timely blood tests are met and all necessary vaccinations are given all within a controlled veterinary environment minimising the risk to your pet.
The shortest routes to all destinations are chosen. If a direct route is not possible, where time permits Dogtainers staff will do a personal comfort stop in transit at the airport terminal. Your pet will have access to water throughout the flight. Preparing your pet for international travel involves several steps, including:
- Crate training – Familiarise your pet with the crate to help them feel comfortable and secure during transport.
- Consult with our experienced travel consultant – Our consultant can provide you with information on the requirements for pet travel to your destination country.
- Health check with your vet – Before travel, discuss your pet’s health with your veterinarian to ensure they are fit to travel.
- Road trips in the crate – Gradually expose your pet to longer periods in their crate, to help them get used to being confined during travel.
